Out in the Open: Sleepout
With 22,000 Chicago teens without stable housing, youth homeless is Chicago’s invisible crisis. Challenged by misconceptions and apathy, advocates struggle to raise awareness and funds to support these teens. Facing multi-million cuts to funding and a looming Chicago winter, area shelters and services needed our help more than ever. Our objective was to help the public experience what homeless teens go through while simultaneously raising money for the non-profits providing them essential lifelines.
My Role: Led concept, created look & feel of campaign, directed video & photoshoot productions, oversaw web design & social content creation, led design of & vollunteered at sleepout event, conducted interviews & helped bring teens' stories to life.
